Jesus Lives – Malawi March 2026
My first outreach was in November, and everyone who knows me knows how that went. I nearly died. My body took blows I couldn’t have imagined. In any case, it was during that mission that I truly got to know the Lord, or so I thought. But on my second outreach to Malawi, the Lord showed me once again who He is. Just when you think you know Him, He reveals more and more.
Between the eight of us there were more than 2 000 conversions and roughly 800 miracles. From deaf ears and blind eyes to malaria healings. With every interaction with one of the wonderful people of Malawi, the Lord just came through. We even felt His protective hand upon us in small boats and great storms. In case you didn’t know, Jesus lives! He wants to involve you in His plan. He wants to show you His almighty power in everything: from healings and deliverances to natural disasters.
Look, an outreach like this is not easy; it takes its toll. Your body gets broken down, no matter what your fitness level is. But His supernatural strength carries you. In such a wild place where everything can kill you; from storms, crocodiles, snakes, spiders, and of course the mosquito, it is the Lord Himself who holds your arms up. It is He who puts one foot in front of the other for you. Nothing you do there, you do in your own strength. With every step you feel His presence; with every prayer His power flows. Jesus lives!
I witnessed so many miracles that it’s hard to choose which ones stood out. But unless I want to write an entire book about this past week, I’m going to do my best to share a few miracles as testimony that the Lord is still the Lord. He is the same as He was from the beginning. He wants to show this to all of us. He wants us involved in His works, because our world is broken, and if we are not willing to pay the price with Him, who will?
Here are a few testimonies of the miracles I witnessed:
- Age is just a number: A 78-year-old woman who walked so bent over she was practically folded in half. She told us she could no longer go to church because she struggled to walk that far. She also couldn’t read her Bible anymore because her eyesight had faded. (Remember, there are no doctors here, let alone an optometrist.) I prayed for her, and as I stood with my hand on her back, I felt her standing more and more upright. She stood without pain, walked slowly, but said she could walk to church again. Then I prayed for her eyes and sensed the Lord telling me to pray for cataracts to leave. We prayed as the Lord led, and suddenly she said she could see so clearly.
- A Voice to the Mute: We walked further and came to a family whose 5-year-old boy had never spoken a single word. He walked up to me and I lifted him onto my lap. I realised he couldn’t hear. We prayed for his ears to open, and I snapped my fingers next to his ear, the little one turned his head. I snapped my fingers next to his other ear and he turned his head again. We tested it again and he responded, eyes wide open. I then prayed for his tongue to be loosed, gave him a small sweet, and said “helloooo.” The child looked me in the eyes and said “helloooo” with such a big smile that I burst into tears. He started making sounds and saying “helloooo” to everyone there. The boy could hear and speak!
- What Malaria: A little boy sick with malaria. His mother said he wouldn’t eat and just lay there all day. His fever was high and his little body was limp. I placed my hands on his back and asked the Lord to heal him, to kill the malaria, and to make his little body pain-free. The fever broke immediately, but he said he still had stomach pain. I placed my hand on his tummy and the pain vanished. Then he told his mother he was hungry.
- Tumours Disappear: We came across a clinic in one area where a row of women sat with various problems. One woman said she had cysts on her ovaries and struggled even to stand upright. I placed my hand on her stomach and we felt the movement of the Holy Spirit so strongly that my teammate had to hold me upright while we prayed. The Lord came and healed her; she ran and jumped, saying the pain was gone. We then prayed for other women and children, and the Lord healed them all. I think the clinic workers were relieved that the queues suddenly got shorter (hehe).
- Jesus Makes Disciples: We led 14 teenagers to the Lord. They wanted to be active for Him, and all of them received the Holy Spirit.
- Broken Heart gets replaced: One evening at the crusade, a 15-year-old girl stood before me. She said she had been having small heart attacks since birth and doctors could do nothing for her. I placed my hand on her heart and felt that little heart beating so fast and so hard that it gave me a fright. The Lord led me to pray for a new heart, and in the blink of an eye the beating in her chest became calm with a normal rhythm. She told me it wasn’t her heart, it was a different heart. The Lord had performed a creative miracle and given her a new heart. My tears poured; she was amazed. You cannot prepare yourself for something like that. Jesus does what He wants, how He wants.
- Ribs are healed: A woman came to me with bruised ribs. She could barely breathe. I placed my hand where she indicated the pain, and we prayed for healing, prayed for the intercostal muscles to be restored and for the pain to leave her body. She was healed, and told me it felt as though someone had placed ice on her; it had gone cold before the pain disappeared right where my hand had been.
- Deliverance from devils: On the last night we held a crusade at the church. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to move through the people and laid hands on them. The moment I touched one woman, she fell and began to manifest. We took her outside and calmed her down. We led her to the Lord, she confessed her sin, and the Lord set her free immediately.
- Stomach muscles grow back: That same evening I prayed for a pregnant woman whose abdominal muscles had torn. She bound her stomach with cloth wraps to make sure everything stayed in place. I placed my hand where she pointed, and as I prayed, I physically felt the abdominal muscles knitting together. Total restoration.
- Life back into a Sick Baby: The last healing I witnessed that night was a baby, probably about six months old, burning hot with fever and limp. He had malaria. He didn’t look well at all and wouldn’t even wake up. I began to pray, and as the Lord came to heal him, I felt his little body growing cooler. His eyes opened and he wanted to sit up. Full healing received from the Lord.
These are just a few of the miracles I witnessed. There were many others: knees healed, broken toes restored and the bruising just disappeared. Headaches, asthma, stomach pain, ulcers, everything healed by the Lord.
The Lord wants you involved too. I’m not saying you have to be a crazy person like me and go challenge crocodiles if the Lord hasn’t told you to. I’m saying you need to ask Him: how should you get involved? We are all used differently. The Lord has a perfect plan for your life and you just need to be willing. Every prayer, every seed you sow, every act of service you do for the Lord matters. Just become part of the Kingdom. Hear from the Father what His plan for you is and what you should do. Every part of the body has a specific function, and that is why Jesus calls us, as the church, the body. Be obedient and serve Him where you are.
Spend time at the feet of Jesus and ask Him where He wants to use you. Remember, it is a privilege to serve the Lord, not a right. He uses whom He wants, how He wants, and if you are not willing, He will choose someone else – because He doesn’t need you, but He wants you involved. Put your hand up, run all out for Jesus in obedience to whatever He calls you to.
